Okay, this started as a doodle of a teenage Phineas and Ferb, and ended up having a whole piece of fanfiction written about it. Give me an hour or so and I'll post a link to it XD.
Basically, one teenage Phineas who can't handle his booze, and one exasperated Ferb. Ferb smokes for some reason, I dunno I thought it suited him. Little teenage rebellion. Drawn on paper, which is why it's slightly more anatomically correct than normal. I can't draw on a tablet still T_T. The reason for the title isn't because butterflies are pretty (up close they're horrifying) but because it really doesn't take a lot to get a butterfly incredibly sozzled. EDIT: The little oneshot can be found here Info about this livejournal account in my journal. |

He's adorable when he's drunk. You did a great job.
Thanks again, I feel much less like people are going to get mad at me XD.

I had him smoking in this pic: [link] and nobody reprimanded me... I wouldn't worry about it.

It's pictures like these that make me love PaF again! I secretly was starting to drift away from the show, thinking it was kind of "out of my league" then. But... after seeing this... all those months of watching and re-watching those PF episodes, the thrill and magic of my favorite show, it all rushed back to me as my eyes hit this on my computer screen. And I don't know whether it was the fact I was on my computer for four hours straight and my eyes where bloodshot (like Phineas' xD), but I started to cry. This really brought me back to my one true passion. Phineas and Ferb.
I love Ferb's expression. It's blank. Yet it somehow looks startled, but caring, under the blanket amidst that deceiving "blank paper" look. Although his arms look a bit straight and awkward, he's supposed to look like that, 'tis who he is. I do like his necklace. It replaces his straight starched collar. And if someone substitutes, it has to be a good substitute. And that wasn't only a "good" substitute, 'twas a marvelous substitute. Ferb smoking? Of course, I couldn't see it any other way. But like you, I guess I didn't know what people would think if I drew that. Oooh, and his earring... ah, now that's good accessorizing. I personally think Ferb would have some sort of "teenage rebellion" stage when he ages, too. I guess Ferb is just that way.
Phineas looks so drunk, yet I can tell under all that blanket of substance abuse, he still adores a caring embrace from his stepbrother.
And even though he's not making eye contact, he is gazing out into the distance, but with a faint smile of content from some physical mitigating from Ferb, he sees something more important. And Phineas' clothes perfectly suit him. 'Nuff said.
The background is extremely both accurate and pleasing, yet it still keeps in balance (not contrasting) with the figures in front of the background. I also love all the detail you put into it, especially the colors and the smooth strokes, which leads the eye to the rest of the picture.
All in all, 'tis an extremely wonderful picture! I really enjoyed it, and I cannot wait for some more of your magnificent artwork.
P.S. Butterflys scare the hell out of me, too. ESPECIALLY up close. *shudders*

You completely got all the little nuances, I didn't think they'd be picked up on! And also, I own Ferb's necklace so that was a really nice compliment too
Thank you very much

INCONCEIVABLE.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
